Self-Picking

WHAT IS A VENDING MACHINE?

On a self-picking farm, the farmer is responsible for the cultivation and care of the crops, but allows the customer to harvest himself . The producer usually straddles part of his field, which can then be used for self-picking. A word of explanation is given as to which fruits can be picked and what to look out for in order not to damage the plants. You can then fill your basket (and belly) with fruit or vegetables. Finally, they are weighed and you pay (usually a lower price) per kilo or basket. Self-picking is also used at Community Supported Agriculture , but it is the members of the farm who come to harvest their share of fruit and vegetables.
